Oh Deer, it's almost Christmas!

It’s another edition of Friday with A Day for Daisies!  The latest release is just filled with beautiful images.  This week is also a challenge-to use traditional Christmas colors.  How easy is that?!
I just love these little deer so much that I decided to use the same one as last week.

I printed the image with the sentiment that I added, typed myself, and colored it with Copic markers.   I sponged the edges of the panel with Antique Linen Distress Ink and matted and layered it onto patterned paper from the Recollections Christmas paper pad.

Next I used punches for the snowflakes, branches (martha stewart) and flowers (ek success).  I added a glittered enamel dot (teresa collins) to the center of each snowflake and a drop of Glossy Accents to each flower.

Visit each of the ladies below to see more sweetness from this release!

Thanks for stopping by and make sure you head on over to the ADFD Blog and join in this weeks challenge!  We love to see your creations!

Have a great weekend!

Flower Deer

Hi everyone and happy Friday!  Boy, it’s been a busy week!  You’d think it would have slowed down after Thanksgiving, but it seems to just have kicked into high gear!
This weeks new release from A Day For Daisies is so sweet!  Lots of super sweet flowery deer to brighten your day!
This is Flower Deer.  Cute!!!
DPK_ADFD_Flowerdeer

I colored the image with Copic Markers first.  Then I went over his spots, and nose and eye highlights with a white Gelly pen.   I used a Sakura StarDust pen to add sparkle to the flower centers and ultrafine glitter to add snow to the hills, around the sentiment, and sprinkled all over the background.  The sentiment is not included…it’s from a stamp set I had on hand.   The paper is from a new Die Cuts with a View pad called Winter in the Woods.  I love the soft cool colors of teal, craft, grey, and white.
The design team ladies have beautiful samples to share…please go and visit each one!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Hello Dolly!

Good morning!  Today we have fun new images to show you from A Day For Daisies.  These ladies are real dolls!
Below is Doll Mask 5.  Isn’t she pretty?!   And today she is only $2!!
DPK_ADFD_DollMask5
I colored this beauty up with Copic Markers.  I went over her eyes with Crystal Effects to make them shine and added ultra fine glitter on the feathers of the mask to make them sparkle!
I used Prismacolor pencils and oms to shade around the doll and matted it with a shimmery silver paper.   I added a couple of doilies behind the image and mounted it on patterned paper from the Kaiser pad Bon Jour.   The die cut tag is also from the pad and I stamped the sentiment on it from a stamp set in my stash.
Wait until you see the beauties the design team has to show you today!  Check out each one below!
Then make sure you head on over to A Day For Daisies to pick up your dolls!   Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Dog Kisses

TGIF!  Another week almost over…I hope I get to relax just a little bit this weekend!  This week is another sampling from the November Club Kit from A Day For Daisies.   It’s also a challenge week and today the challenge is to use houndstooth.
And one more thing…Let’s welcome Christine Okken to the ADFD Design Team!  If you are not familiar with Christine, prepare yourself for some gorgeous stuff!  We are so happy to have her join us!
Guess who doesn’t have any houndstooth paper?  This girl!  I found one online and printed on cardstock to paper piece with.
I had so much fun working with this adorable image, Scotty Mistletoe A!
DPK_ADFD_ScottyMistletoeA
First I based the image with Copic markers, then I went back over Scotty with Prismacolor pencils and oms.  I used the same to shade around the image.  I paper pieced his cape and adding shading to that with a Copic marker.   The sentiment, from a stamp set from another company, was cut out with a Long Rectangle Spellbinders die.  I used a houndstooth embossing folder from Cuttlebug for the background panel.  All of the patterned paper is from the Authentique Festive paper pad.
Come and get an eyeful of beauties from the other ladies below!
Bundle up and have a wonderful weekend!

Holiday Shopping

It’s upon us already!  There was Christmas music playing in the stores while I shopped on Monday.  So not ready!  Maybe when I get my hands on my new Erin Condren planner I can get more organized, lol!

This weeks images, part of Novembers Club kit  from A Day for Daisies are so cute!  I love terriers, and what better canine to represent the upcoming season!

This is Shopping with Scotty.

DPK_ADFD_ShoppingScotty

I love this image and I just adore these new Scotties!  I colored this image with Copic markers and flocked the trim on her coat.   I sponged the edges of the panel with Antique Linen Distress Ink.   I used Copics and fine point Sharpie markers to create the plaid on the Scotty’s jacket to mimic the patterned paper.    All of the patterned paper is from the MME Darling Dear paper pad.

Check out the cute creations from our talented DT ladies below!

Happy Friday and Happy Halloween!  Are you trick or treating today?  Just gonna go through the kiddos candy when they get home?  Yeah, me too!

Today A Day For Daisies is revisiting some fall images.  This weeks review is full of sweet autumn images of native girls and squirrels.  They are all so adorable!   I am showcasing Tree Top Dreams today.

DPK_ADFD_TreetopDreams

I printed this little beauty on kraft card stock and colored her with Prismacolor pencils and oms.   I sponged lightly around the panel with Pumpkin Spice from a VersaMagic Dew Drop.

I cut two tags from patterned paper using a punch and stamped the sentiment, an older wood mounted stamp from my stash, on one of the tags.

Amazing creations await you with the ladies below!

Dancing Pumpkin Head

Happy Friday!
I haven’t been blogging for a couple of weeks and I hope you miss me!  I’ve been suffering with a pinched nerve in my neck that shoots down my left shoulder and arm and has really had me in a pickle!  Between therapy and the anti-inflammatory I have been taken for a month now I am finally starting to get some relief.  I spent all day in my studio and managed to get several projects done, whew!

Without further ado, here is a new image from A Day For Daisies, called Dancing Pumpkin Head 1.  My goodness, these new image are so cute!

DPK_ADFD_DancingPumpkinhead1

I printed my image on kraft paper and colored it with Prismacolor pencils and blended with odorless mineral spirits.  I shaded the edges of the panel with Brushed Corduroy from a Distress Ink pad.
I found this adorable paper in my scrapbook paper stash and cut it down to fit my card.  I stamped the sentiment from an old wood mounted stamp and added a spider button embellishment.    How cute is she?!

Please check out the adorable samples from our design team and pop on over to the ADFD blog to see all of the images!

Not Just For Halloween

Happy Friday!  I have a fun new image from A Day For Daisies today.  This collection is full of sweet cat images…and although they are called Black Cats you could make them any color you want.
Here is Black Cat Four.
DPK_ADFD_BlackCatFour
I began by coloring the entire image with a N0 (neutral zero) Copic marker.  Then I used gray and black Prismacolor pencils blended with OMS to shade the image.  I also used a pink one to shade the outside of the image.  After coloring her tiara pink I painted it with glitter paint and added a tiny sparkly gem.
I cut out the image with a Spellbinders die and shaded with the die still in place using London Fog ink from Memento.   I added a strip of black lace trim and a button with a large gem set inside of it.  The fun patterned paper is from the Paris Girl pad by Carta Bella.
See the beautiful kitties the team created today!

It’s Bloom Time

Good Friday morning!  We have a bevy of bloomin’ beauties from A Day For Daisies today!  The new September Club Kit is available and the challenge for this week is painterly effects.  The gorgeous flowers in this collection are just perfect for this!

DPK_ADFD_WCFlowers

I started by using the same flower twice on the panel, but making the second one smaller and flipping it in the other direction.   I used reinkers to watercolor the flowers and the background.  Once dry I painted over it with a fine glitter paint so give it some subtle sparkle.  I also computer generated the sentiment.    When I finished coloring it I used a micron pen to hand line a border around the image.

You’re in for a treat when you see what the other ladies created!  Check out their beauties below!

Pixies

Happy Friday morning!  Hope you have fun plans for this Labor Day weekend!  I did…however, we decided to cancel our plans to stay home and get our driveway done.  Not fun, but necessary…and I will most definitely enjoy and larger and level, not to mention nicer place to park my car!
Today A Day For Daisies is showcasing adorable pixies!  I have Tiny Pixie Daisy to share with you today!
DPK_ADFD_TinyPixieDaisy
I colored this sweet little pixie with Copic markers and added shading around the image with Prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits.  I sponged the panel edges with a VersaMagic Dew Drop in Wheat with the Spellbinders die still in place.    Hard to tell in this photo, but I added a bit of sparkle to each daisy with a Stardust Gelly Roll pen and a drop of Crystal Effects in the center.
Super cute samples can be found on these ladies blogs below!

Fairy Wishes

Good Friday morning!  Today I have another fun image to share from the August Club Kit by A Day For Daisies.
It’s also a challenge today, and that’s to use Glossy Accents on your project.  Piece of cake!
DPK_ADFD_FairyWishes
I printed this cutie, Fairy Wishes, on white card stock and colored her with Copic markers.   I made the flowers on her dress with the tip of a Y21 marker and the white center with a Gel pen.   I coated her wings and wand with Glossy Accents and poured on the ultra fine glitter, then I used a Quickie Glue pen  to add lots of extra glitter falling from her wand.   I hand cut the sentiment (from an old wood mounted stamp in my stash) and added it to the banner I cut.  All of the patterned paper is from the Simple Stories Vintage Bliss paper pad.
Check out the creations from the other design team ladies and then head on over to the ADFD Blog to join in the challenge!

I printed this first on white card stock then again on patterned paper, which I used to cut the dress from and pieced onto the white image.   I colored the rest of the image with Copic markers.  I shaded around the image with Prismacolor pencils and oms.

The paper, including the piece for her dress, is all from the Simple Stories Vintage Bliss paper pad.   I used a piece of swiss dot ribbon and added three paper flowers that coordinate with the paper-done!

This week is an adorable new release from A Day For Daisies.
Here is Mushroom Gnome from In My Garden.
DPK_ADFD_mushroomgnome
What a fun cutie to color!  I used Copic markers on the entire image.  I used a white gel pen for the dots on the mushroom and on his hat.  I used a grass punch from Martha Stewart to make the grass layers and a fern punch under the sentiment.    I flocked his beard, mustache, and eyebrows…nice and fuzzy!   The paper is from the Basic Grey Boxer pad.

Flower Monkeys

Good morning and happy 4th of July to all my American friends!  Today is the start of the new Club Kit from A Day For Daisies.  This one is all about Love’ in Animals!
My card today features Flower Monkey.  But before I show you…let me just say that I had issues this week, oh boy!  This wasn’t supposed to be round, and it wasn’t supposed to be monkeys.  I am just overwhelmed with stuff right now and even when I have the instructions straight, they are not translating from my brain to my hands properly…or something like that.   I hope it all finds it’s way back once the boys go to sleep away camp!    Ok, back to monkeys.
DPK_ADFD_FlowerMonkeys
So, I started by printing the monkeys on white cardstock and coloring them with Copic markers.  I used Spellbinders dies to cut out the image and card base.  The paper is from the Simple Stories Vintage paper pad.  I added a simple paper flower from Recollections and let it be done!
The other ladies have stunning creations for you today! Stop by each one to see!

Starlight Starbright

Welcome Friday!  A Day for Daisies has a beautiful new release this week!  Full of beautiful children and wondrous night skies!
This is Starlight
DPK_ADFD_Starbright
I colored this sweet image up with Copic markers.  I added shading to the night sky with a Prismacolor pencil and oms in Periwinkle, and sparkled the stars with Stickles.   I was 90% done coloring when my BG18 Copic coughed up a huge blob to which a button and twine came to the rescue, lol!
Come and see the amazing samples the design team created this week!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
