It's my turn-Color Throwdown week #35

To host this weeks Color Throwdown. How's these colors for ya? Tough ones for sure! I made this card a while back when I thought these were the weekly colors...but a color change for that week left me high and dry, or so I thought! I figure I can still get away with a card that looks a bit wintery since we barely reached 40 today and I had on my big warm jacket!

I received this stamped image from Biggan a while back and I believe it is from Hanglar. If anyone knows and I am incorrect please let me know. She's just adorable! I colored her with Copic markers. I made my own background paper by stamping on the green cardstock in VersaMark with this background stamp from Rubbernecker. I can't remember who the sentiment is from but I used the SU oval punches on it. I also used the small oval to make the tabs that I attached with brads. The bottom was scalloped with the SU scallop border. I used the Inkssentials pen to dot the scallops and pierced the strip I put across the bottom. The brads and swirly clip are from SU Hodge Podge hardware.

I hope you join us this week! For inspiration don't forget to check out the rest of the talent design team! And if you upload to SCS or Papercraft Planet please use keyword CTD35! Thanks!

Flower Girl

Hi everyone on this lovely Wednesday! I received a wonderful gift from Birgit/Biggan about two weeks ago. She sent me this stamp set that I had loved but was unable to get here in the U.S. Included with this gift she sent me this gorgeous card and some stamped images from Hanglar. Okay, I can't actually read her blog but her art is amazing! And she does speak and write in English. You can find her on SCS under Biggan. If you are not familiar with her work make sure you check out her gallery! I haven't photographed her card...it's still sitting on my mantel in my livingroom and I look at it everyday!

I was really nervous coloring this image because if I screwed it up I didn't have another one. But it's okay...I've done better. But, like I said, I think I totally wigged myself out and was so afraid of messing it up, that it's a bit messed up. Oh well, it's still cute!
I colored the image with Copics and added stardust sparkle to the flower centers. I accented her dress, flower centers, and cheeks with a white gelly roll pen. I did a wacky stitch around the outside, which I was pretty impressed with myself! The flowers are Primas and the centers are pearls from Kaiser craft. The cardstock is Bazzill and the dot paper is from CK. I hadn't added a sentiment yet...I usually wait until I decide what I am going to use the card for, and I think this is going to be mom's Mother's Day card. I think she'll love it. Now I just have to come up with a gift...that's never easy!

Off to Kindergarten Orientation this morning! My son Joey is so excited! Me too! Have a great day!
