Wedding Card and an announcement

This is the card that I made for my husbands niece's wedding we attended at the end of October.

I cannot remember who makes the dp...it's a piece I had in my "valentines/romance" stash for some time. I stitched it to a Basic Grey pp mat then distressed the edges and added a pearl to each corner. I trimmed it so that FOREVER would appear in the bottom right corner. I used some pink silk ribbon I've also had in my stash for way too long and wrapped it around the mat and created a triple bow. I also tied a piece of coordinating fiber under the bow. I then inked up a chipboard heart with white pigment ink and embossed with clear ep before coating with Diamond Glaze and Diamond Dust glitter. It's really sparkly and pretty irl!

Just thought I'd take a quick break from fall cards...but not for long!

I also have made the decision to step down from the Wags 'n Whiskers design team. It's been difficult to maintain three DT positions, work full time, and spend time with my family...especially with the holiday's coming. It was an honor to serve with those talented Diva's! Make sure you head over to the WnW blog and keep up with all the great projects and new releases!

Have a great day!

Wags 'N Whiskers second challenge!

It's the second weekly challenge from Wags 'n Whiskers and the challenge brought to us by Tina and she asked for stitching on our projects, either real or faux.

The image I've used is Ansley's Surprise. She's stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Solar Crest Ultra Smooth White card stock and colored with Copics. I first painted her wings with Shimmerz in Angel Wings-very appropriate! Then I used the Quickie Glue Pen to add Winter Glitter by Judikins to them. I also used white flock on her headband and sleeve cuffs for just a little bit of texture.

I used paper from Memory Box and Bazzill card stock for matting and layering and stitched every one. The flower is from Prima and the branch and ferns are from Martha Stewart and EK Success punches.

Head on over to the Wags 'n Whiskers blog to see all the wonderful projects the DT have created this week and join in the challenge and find where you can purchase these stamps. Have a great weekend!

It's the first Wags N Whiskers Challenge

Today is the first ever Wags N Whiskers challenge. This week the challenge is being hosted by Karen and it's called Make 'em Sparkle.

I chose to use Zoe and Gemma's Snow Fun. I stamped it on Neenah Solar Crest White Ultra Smooth Card Stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copics. I painted over many elements of the image with Shimmerz to add depth and sparkle. Both Zoe and the snowman's hat were coated with Marvy Liquid Applique and glitter before being heated and puffed up. I also added lots of Flower Soft Polar White to the ground for sparkly snow. I added random sparkly spots to the image panel and white ferns behind the snowflake with Stickles Icicle and added a tiny gem to the center of the Martha Stewart punched snowflake. The glitter card stock is Doodlebugs, the tree design paper is MME, and the final pink mat is Basic Grey. I had some sewing machine issues, but forged ahead! So, just ignore any imperfections, ok?

Head on over to the Wags N Whiskers blog and check out the challenge and join in the fun! Have a great day!

Wags 'N Whiskers now shipping!

The rubba is in da house! Sorry...so not me! Anyway, all of your pre-orders will be shipping now and anyone who waited to make their purchase can head over to the stores I have listed below to get them while they are hot! Here's another Wags 'n Whiskers image to share with you today, this one called A Good Book.

I colored her with Copics on Neenah Solar Crest White Ultra Smooth cardstock and had intended to have her laying on a rug...but I thought it looked crooked and when I trimmed it, well, oops, I was left with no choice but to cut out the entire image. She is now layered on a piece of dp from the Urban Prarie line from Basic Grey, which is also where the other pp are from as well. I added some Prima hydrangeas with a flat backed pearl also from Prima in the top corner along with leaves made with an EK Success punch. I then added this fun pompom trim at the bottom which I got at my LSS and some buttons and twine from PTI.

Head on over to the Wags 'n Whiskers blog to see all new samples from the first release which will be shipping soon!

Sneak Peek Day Two

Today I am sharing this new image from Wags N Whiskers called Super Ryan. Colored with Copics on Neenah Solar Crest White Ultra Smooth cardstock.

Ryan is Lacey's son and is a blonde...but with brown hair this guy resembles my nephew so much it's uncanny! I paired this cutie with Basic Grey paper from the Granola line. I just used some brads to embellish this to keep it clean and simple. The cardstock is from SU and Prism.

ETA: Since it came up...that's not a real dog Ryan is standing on...it's his dog blanket he can't live without! LOL!

Make sure you check out the sneak peeks from all the Diva's listed here! Tomorrow is blog hop day and your chance to win one of the new Wags N Whiskers images!
