Friday with Flourishes

Happy Friday!  Today I have a card that I created using a March Card Maps sketch from Becky Fleck.   You can find all of the March sketches at PageMaps.  Here is the one I used.

For this fun sketch I started with patterned paper from the Flourishes 123 Create Kit Vintage Finds.

I used a Flourishes Classic Ivory card base and banner to stamp the sentiment on from Inside & Out Hello.   I used a Martha Stewart punch to create the butterflies and backed them with black cardstock to make them stand out.   I added gems randomly and tied it all up with Black Jute

Sweet Figs

Mmmm, mmm! I ate my fill of these last week! I have a neighbor who picks them from her aunts tree’s and gives them to me. Every year I swear I am going to plant my own…I’ll get around to it one day!

Every quarter, Becky Fleck of PageMaps dishes out 10 fabulous sketches to get those creative juices flowing with her CardMaps. Well, this month some of the lovely ladies from Flourishes did the honors and took her sketches to bring CardMaps to life with beautiful and creative samples for each and every sketch. Here's the sketch:
And here's the figs!

I used Flourishes Figs and Pomegranate stamp set. It is stamped on Flourishes Classic White card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics. I also deepened some of the shading with Prismacolor pencils and oms. I lightly inked around the image panel and matted it on some K and Company paper (I think!) It was just the perfect shade for my figs! The trim is a simple scallop I created with a punch from the same white cardstock, inked, and embellished with some dark brown rustic twine. A piece of velvet ribbon and some Kaiser pearls finish it off. The lovely sentiment is from the Falling Leaves stamp set and it is cut and matted using a Nestabilitie die from Spellbinders.
