Bat Girl says….

Bite me! Ha! I love it…I know just who I am sending this to! Love these Halloween images from Kraftin Kimmie! For challenge 46 Mostly Black and White I am using Batty Princess.

I loved this bat patterned paper from Making Memories so she just had to have hair to match it…besides, redheads rock! Colored with Copics on Flourishes Classic white card stock and sparkle added with Shimmerz in Coal. The ribbon is from Michaels, I think…and the star button is a Making Memories I’ve had for a loooong time. I hoard (or more like over buy) halloween embellishments, so I have a ton more to use!

Have a bite

I’ve been a slacker, I know…my days are all screwed up with back to school-which is now home from school for the jewish holiday. Yikes! I have been working on a few things though so here’s one I can share today!

I love all the Kraftin Kimmie stamps but these Halloween ones are just so much fun! How evil and cute is Fred? This is Fred & Ginger from the Moonlight Whispers line. I based his cape with a Copic marker but the entire picture including his cape is then colored with Prismacolor pencils and oms. After I colored Gingers dress I covered it with purple glitter. She’s very fancy for her dinner date! I matted the image with black cardstock and layered it on a piece of patterned paper from the Eerie line by Basic Grey. I punched and rolled some paper flowers and added a punched bat along with the sentiment cut with a tag Spellbinder Nestabilitie die.

Hopefully by this weekend I will be caught up and back on a regular schedule…yeah, we’ll see. Until then, everyone have a great day!

Throwdown Wednesday

I can’t believe it’s Wednesday again, already! Time is really flying now…school starts in a week here. Summer’s last hurrah, hanging on to the 90’s as long as it can! I say, Goodbye!

Today for the Color Throwdown #108, Laura chose these lovely muted soft colors and I destroyed them, lol! I thought these colors would work great for my mummy, so I started coloring away. I was really getting into it, layering color after color until I thought she was just right. Then I found the perfect paper! After I put it all together I said “Wait! What were the colors this week again?” I strayed a bit from the original palette, but I still incorporated brown, kraft, and yellow. Adding the black and purple really pulled it away from the softness of the original colors. Oh well, that’s what happens when you get carried away!

This is Mitzi the Mummy from Kraftin Kimmie. Isn’t she cute? She’s colored up first with Copics then with Prismacolor Pencils and odorless mineral spirits. I dirtied up the edges with Distress Ink in Antique Linen to go with her dirty bandages. She paired perfectly with this piece of dp from the Eerie line by Basic Grey. The edge punch is EK Success and the bat punch from Martha Stewart.

Feelin’ Groggy

Hey, happy Wednesday! Welcome to Color Throwdown #87 with me as your host! I picked this soft springy palette which was inspired by an awesome K&Co paper pad that I picked up recently! My image is anything but soft and subtle though…

This is Polly the Grog Wench from the Moonlight Whispers line from Kraftin Kimmie. Oooh, she’s fresh! My kinda girl! She’s colored with Copics and the barrel was stamped and cut out after coloring and popped up on the main image. I added some ribbon from PTI and a couple of flowers from Prima to dress up the sentiment. The K&Company paper is self adhesive! Love this stuff! I used a pink Spica pen on the flower in her hair to make the center sparkle…trust me, it’s there.

Fresh froggie

This is Lilith, a Moonlight Whispers image from Kraftin Kimmie...isn't she sassy?! She's definitely up to no good...I'd check for frogs ( or something icky) before I sat on the potty or climbed into bed iykwim...

Lilith is stamped on Neenah Solar Crest White Ultra Smooth card stock and colored with Copics. I lightly stippled around the imaged with VersaMagic dew drop chalk inks and popped up the frog at the bottom. She's layered on dp from Making Memories Chloe's Closet. I love this paper...I am going to be so sad when I've used it all up :(

Hello dolly

I love the attitude of these Moonlight Whispers images from Kraftin Kimmie. This is Charlotte and her well used dolls. Hopefully it's many years of love that is making their eyes fall off and hair fall out and not something more sinister, lol.

The image is colored with Copics on Neenah Solar Crest Natural card stock. The off white works really well with this gorgeous dp from Cosmo Cricket Earth Love. I used a new Martha Stewart border punch to make the open scallop edge on the right side. It's embellished with a simple button from PTI and a bow.

So is everyone ready to start their diet today? I was kinda bad over the holiday break and I know my body is rebelling! I am almost looking forward to my high fiber breakfast cereal and lowfat lunch, lol! I don't really ever make a resolution, but losing a few pounds is always a good idea no matter what time of the year it is...especially since the Superbowl is coming up and I'm gonna wanna eat again! I turn into a football lover just to snack during the game!
