Wish for the day

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
ETA: I am soooo sorry in my haste I forgot to add the links! They are all linked up now so you can find the tutorial and the tulip beauties on LeAnne's blog!
I saw these adorable flower pot cards on LeAnne's blog and follow her link to the tutorial here. This was fun to make and there are so many variations. I bought mom a gift card which I attached to the inside card and I wrote my note on the back of the pot. I hope all you mom's out there have a very happy Mother's Day!

Rose Ann's flap cards

Before we get to today's post....Is American Idol trying to kill me with Tatiana?!! I seriously cannot watch her. She sings good but the drama queen act is so annoying! Ok, now that that is off my chest please continue on to the post :)

I had received a flap card from Rose Ann a while back and I had always admired it and wanted to make one. Finally when I was scanning tutorials on SCS a few weeks ago I found her tutorial so I sat down to make a couple.

They both are sportin' Anna Wight images, Posies for You, from Whipper Snapper colored with Copics. On this one below I forgot to trim the bottom of the card after the rounded top flap was made and so the flap is a bit longer than on the dark pink one. The cardstock and ribbon are both from PTI and the patterned paper is Porcelain by Basic Grey. I added faux stitching with a paper piercer and Ranger Inkssentials white opaque pen.

They are simple to make and really make a statement. I love the way they close with magnets inside. The paper on the darker pink card is Urban Prarie by Basic Grey paired with cardstock and ribbon in Raspberry Fizz from PTI. The butterfly is sparkly irl with a touch of Shimmerz.

They make great Thank You or Thinking of You cards...just a little note...

They are so cute and I will definitely be using this design more often! Thanks Rose Ann!!
