The card I am showing you today was created using the Good Thinking: Renewal.  I thought it was completely appropriate to have bunnies hopping all over it…it’s a hop for a Hop!

I used a Spellbinders die to cut  mat under the sentiment…cutting it twice, once in pink and once in green and layered them together.  The grass was created with a punch.  And finally, the adorable bunnies were die cut with Impression Obsession dies.  I finished them by adding a tiny white pompom to each tail.

Make sure you hop around to each of the Bloom Brigade ladies to see all of the wonderful creations they have to share today!  I’m so glad you hopped by!

I love this sentiment and I loved this paper to pair it with from the Green Stack by DCWV.   I used dies cuts from Spellbinders for the sentiment and mat and also the leaf, which I sponged with the die in place to create the veins.   I also added this really pretty leaf shaped button from in my stash and tied that with some rustic twine.
Find some Serenity Now with the Bloom Brigade!  Check them out!

Meet Azalea

This beautiful new set called Azalea is a collection of blooms just waiting for you to add the perfect color!  With so many shades this flower comes in the sky’s the limit!  This 4" by 6" set was illustrated by hand with a whole lotta love by Marcella Hawley.

I stamped this image on cold press water color paper with VersaFine black ink and watercolored it with various brands of dye reinkers and a paint brush.  I have a beautiful variety of azalea that has the most gorgeous shade of peachy orange blooms, so I wanted to recreate that on my card.  This is such a beautiful image and so much fun to color!

I used a Spellbinders die Fleur de Lis Squares to mat my image that I trimmed into a square and nipped off the corners.  The patterned papers are from the MME Mabel pad.  I used some satin ribbon and rustic twine to add a bow.  I added the sentiment cut with a circle punch and layered onto a hand cut banner.
You are going to love what the Bloom Brigade has in store for you today! Check them out!

Introducing Marcella's Mixtape Vol. 1
This super fun set with have to humming these oldies but goodies all day long!  Great song related sentiments and images to pair up for a card that will bring back great memories and be sure to please!
DPK_PP_MixTapeSuperfly_wm
I started by stamping the lovely feathers on white card stock with pastel chalk inks from Memento Dew Drops.  I closely trimmed them and added lots of fun glitter.  I clustered them with a purple twine tied button.  I stamped the sentiment on a green strip and added some fun lime green trim.  I stamped a small feather to create a border and added that panel to the bottom.  The base panel is partially embossed with an embossing folder appropriate adorned with birds.
You are going to have great fun seeing all of the creations from these Bloom Brigade ladies today!  Make sure you visit each one below!

Get Ready for a Spring Fling!

Our first Power Poppy set, hot off the presses, may have you hearing the alluring tones of a French accordion and whispering Ooh La La. Springtime Love is in the air and this set embodies romance -- with passionate petals and love-laced sentiments. Illustrated by Marcella Hawley as she went in for the kiss, this beauty of a set measures 4" by 6".

DPK_PP_SpringRenewTag_wm
So many beautiful blooms in this image!  My grape hyacinths are starting to peek from the ground and before long I will be enjoying beautiful stems of bleeding hearts!  I can hardly wait! My Forget-Me-Nots…they forgot me.
I began by die cutting two tags, one white card stock and one in purple.  I stamped this lovely cluster of blooms on the white tag and colored it with Copic Markers.  I shaded around the image with Prismacolor Pencils and oms and sponged the tag edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink.  After layering the tags I added this beautiful hand dyed seam binding and mounted the whole thing on a die cut Blossom Five
from Spellbinders.   The lace border was created with a punch.  All of the paper is from the DCWV Spring paper pack. Now that you've been swept away with that free-feeling Springtime Love, why not traipse around to take in some more? The Bloom Brigade has plenty to share!
