Happy Tuesday! It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is over and we’ve moved into the Christmas season. I finally got the photo of my kids I needed for my Christmas card…not the angelic expressions I had envisioned, but definitely caught their characters! A bit of decision making and finally placed that order-one more thing I can cross off my list. Now I can concentrate on my handmade cards. Have you made any yet? Get going!
I needed a birthday card, and gasp, I am running low! I carved out some time to create a fast and easy card this morning.
I began with Flourishes Inside & Out Just Because stamp set. Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Flourishes Classic White card stock I created a narrow panel for my sentiment. I distressed the panel with Antique Linen Distress Ink and a distress tool. I then used the same ink and paper for the smaller sentiment, cutting it out with one of our new dies, Perfectly Pierced Classic Windows. Using the Antique Linen Distress Ink I sponged the edge of the panel and inside using Versa Magic Turquoise Gem with the die in place. I also lightly distressed the doily behind the main panel.
The paper is from MME Breeze. I added buttons from both the MME Breeze button collection as well as the MME Rosy button Collection. The tulle flowers are from Recollections and the cluster of pink ones a cut from the Prima Aire Collection.
