Five years ago, a little company based out of Florida was started around the kitchen table with three stamping friends at the helm. They put their heads together, gathered up some concepts and forged ahead to create what we now know and love... FLOURISHES! This little company has come a long, long way and has grown beyond our wildest dreams! It's been a fast five years and while we would love to look back - we're looking forward to the next five! So, let's light the candles and roll the music - we're ready for a birthday celebration! HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY FLOURISHES!!!
To get ready for next week's big August Stamp Release, we're ushering in a festive challenge! Not only will it celebrate Flourishes 5th birthday, but it will give YOU a chance to win our new release! So, put on your best party attire and get ready for the....
HOW TO PLAY: This challenge is going to be super duper easy peasy. Why? All you need to do is create a birthday creation. It could be a card, a tag, a 3-D object, ANYTHING! As long as it celebrates a birthday, you'll be in the running! Please remember, entries must be in by August 10th at 5PM EST to be eligible. If you upload to Splitcoaststampers, please use the key word FLLCAUG12. And, don’t forget to link up your creation right here on this post using the Inlinkz link widget below. Use Flourishes stamps if you have them — Flourishes entries will be counted twice! But, if you don’t have Flourishes, play along anyway, you could WIN some!
I created place cards and napkin rings for the party!
I used paper from the MME Happier line, cutting strips and wrapping them around one inch pieces I cut from a paper towel tube. I then stamped the sentiment and flowers from the Birthday Pennants set. I cut out the sentiment with a Lacey Pennants die from Spellbinders. I cut out each of the roses that I stamped with a Memento Rose Bud Dew Drop and popped them up on the banner.
My place cards were made much the same way, using the larger pennant die from Spellbinders and also stamping the tiny flourish from Birthday Pennants set before adding the rose.
And last but not least, I had to make a birthday card! I used the floral pennant from the stamp set and stamped each one a different color. I ran twine between them then added a button with a twine bow. I created the strip below by stamping the sentiment multiple times and adding roses again, popped up on each end.
Hop on over and see all the great decorations and party fun that the design team created!
August Sneak Peeks start next Tuesday so get ready for noon time challenges and lots more changes to win!
