Flourishes February Sneak Peek

It’s that wonderful time of the month again when I get to start sharing the new releases from Flourishes. Today we start with Hello Hyacinth…

Hello Hyacinth Graphic

This is another gorgeous floral set from Marcella Hawley! Really has me longing for spring…

DPK_HelloHyacinths_sneakpeek

The image was stamped on Flourishes Classic White card stock and colored with Copic markers. The bulb vase was coated with Diamond Glaze after coloring and is nice and shiny like glass! The shading around the image was done with Prismacolor Pencils and odorless mineral spirits. I inked around the image and sentiment panel both with Wheat ink from Versa Magic. The twill was tea dyed and finished with a button and some rustic twine. I pulled out my much unused Eva paper from Basic Grey for the background panels.

What lovely blossoms and the colors are superb. Thanks for reminding me about tea dyeing the twill and it would work on seam binding too. A great look!

OK, I gotta ask -- which Copics did you use on the bulb? Your coloring of the bulb is my favorite -- and I LOVE the idea of the crystal effects to make it shiny!

I always breathe a big sigh when your cards come up on the screen. You have a way with colors that appeals to me so MUCH! My Eva papers are much unused, too, and whenever I do use them I always wind up with something LOUD. But this is so soft and quiet. Beautiful card. Love the gentleness of it. The tea-dyed twill is wonderful, and great idea to glaze the vase. You rock!

Mmmmm dreamy Danielle. I love the way you use warm colors so beautifully together. And the twill, button and twine are so dainty feeling too.
