Welcome to Color Throwdown challenge #103. Our hostess Tammy has chosen these beautiful colors for us to try this week:
Although I love these colors, I did find this a challenge. I totally scrapped my first card and ended up with something completely different. Here it is:
I didn’t have any Certainly Celery or River Rock left (maybe the leaves are CC scraps…) so I improvised with some Bazzill card stock and a piece of patterned paper from PaperTrey ink. The roses were made with scraps of Bo Bunny Dot and Bazzill card stock and the edges were coated with Diamond Glaze then dipped into Diamond Dust. They are rather sparkly irl. I beefed up the centers with some red Flower Soft before I added my flat backed pearls. I added a scrap of lace, a few more pearls, and a sentiment from Life Lines by Flourishes, and voila! Oh, I hand cut some leaves, inked the edges a bit, and scored down the middle then kinda shoved them under the roses, lol.
Make sure you head over to the Color Throwdown blog to check out the challenge and join in. See what the DT below created this week…and don’t forget to wish LeAnne a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
