The Time is Now

Here it is…the first set for May from Power Poppy by Marcella Hawley.   This month we are featuring digital images that you can download and create with right away.  Instant gratification!

This is Gerbera Daisies.
Gerbera daisies are one of my favorite flowers. They come in so many colors it’s hard to choose!  After printing my image twice I colored one entire panel, and just one bloom on the second image.  I cut out the single flower and popped it up over the base image to create depth.  I used Copic markers YR0000, YR00, YR27, R17, G40, G43, G46 and BVoo for shadows.   I used BG10, BG11, and BG13 to add background around the blooms.  I also sponged around the edges of the panel with Distress Ink in Antique Linen.
I added clear micro beads to the center of each flower with Glossy Accents to make them pop.  You can also see the dimension from the flower I popped up.
I printed and matted the sentiment included with the image and adhered that to the image panel with a button and some rustic twine.  The patterned paper is from the MME The Sweetest Thing – Tangerine paper pad.
Take a hop around and check out all of the wonderful creations the Bloom Brigade has to share with you today!

Oh, so gorgeous, Danielle! Your coloring is exquisite with the highlighting around the blooms and the fussy-cut, popped flowers. And the micro beads with Glossy Accents are wonderful! Fabulous inspiration, sweet friend! Hugs!
