Merry Monday Challenge

Wow, Monday always seems to come so fast!  This week though, it’s winter recess for the kids so they are home from school.  Thankfully the temps are supposed to be above freezing so they can enjoy playing in the snow.

The Merry Monday challenge this week is MM96 to use Holly on your Christmas card or project.  This week I am posting a a Guest Designer.  How fun!  Thanks Merry Monday!

DPK_MM96

I started by creating a white panel with three strips of patterned paper from the Authentique Festive paper pad.  I sponged the edges of the panel with Antique Linen Distress Ink.  Then I topped the panel with a piece of lace.  I used the holly leaf dies from the Holly Jolly Die set by Lil’ Inker Designs   I added them to the top of a button stack that I tied with a rustic twine bow.   On the top left I stamped the sentiment from  Dove and Holly (retired) by Flourishes and popped it up and added additional holly leaves with a button.   The angle of the photo makes the whole card look a little wonky…but trust me, it’s straight in real life!  Sometimes it’s just me that’s a bit out of alignment, lol!

I hope you will join us this week and show us your Christmas creation featuring holly.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

You are certainly an inspiration with the Christmas cards this year, Danielle! I especially love the papers on this one. Though I say I don't need more Christmas papers, I do truly covet these!
