Today is a day to celebrate…it’s the 5th birthday of The Color Throwdown! I am proud that for three of those years I served on the very talented design team and that they have asked me to help them celebrate this milestone!
Pretty color palette so reminiscent of the beach! So Broni!
I used this super sweet Basset Hound Fairy from A Day for Daisies. I printed the digital image and colored it with Copic Markers then added shading in and around the image with Prismacolor pencils and oms.
I used Spellbinders dies to cut out the image and the mat, shading around the image with Wheat ink from a Versamagic Dew Drop with the die in place. The design paper is from the MME Happier pad. I used Die-namics Mini Rolled Roses from MFT and buttons with rustic jute button twine from PTI as accents along with the cotton striped ribbon from Flourishes. I also added sparkle with a Stardust Gelly Roll pen around the image and Stickles Star Dust for his antennas!
There are many past alumni and guest designers helping to celebrate with the Color Throwdown Design team today so make sure you head on over to the blog to see the list so you can visit each one. Help us celebrate by joining in the challenge and leaving your love in the form of comments!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I had a great time creating this card and celebrating 5 years of The Color Throwdown…the best color challenge blog on the net!
