The new July release from A Day For Daisies is so much fun! I can’t wait for you to see all of the fantastic new images from the July Club Kit!
This image reminds me so much of my own sweet hound, Rosie, that I was so excited to color it up.
I printed this sweet Fairy Bassett Hound and colored it with Copic Markers.
I used a piece of terry cloth dampened with Blender and dabbed at the spots to give them some texture. I left the ear long, the way my dog is groomed in the summer…she had long ears but cut short all over, with lots and lots of freckles!
You can see all of her freckles when she gets her hair cut :)
Her breed is a Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, or PBGV for short. She’s shaped just like a Bassett Hound but smaller and has long hair.
I printed the image a second time on heavy weight vellum and used Glossy Accents and ultra find glitter on the wings. I cut them out after they dried and popped them up over the original wings that were colored. You can see some subtle color of the purple and green coming through underneath. I added two tiny rhinestones to the end of her antennas too.
I used a deckle edge rectangle die from Spellbinders to cut out the image, which was sponged with Wheat ink from a Versamagic Dew Drop with the die still in place. The patterned paper is from the Basic Grey Kioshi pad. I just added a flower and some coordinating colored buttons. Fun, fun, fun! I can’t wait to color up more of these!
Today is a blog hop, so head on over to Kadie next to see what fabulous creation she has for you! Make sure you head over to the ADFD blog and join in on the fun yourself!
