Getting in under the wire

With about t-3 hours until Christmas I wanted to share the two cards that I made for my boys.

I used Purple Onion Designs images from the Stacey Yacula Studio on both cards.  First up is Elwood for my son Joey.

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Flourishes Classic White card stock and colored it with Copics.  I used Marvy Liquid Applique on his hat and jacket.  I shaded around the image with Prismacolor Pencils and oms and sponged the outside of the panel, with the Spellbinders die still in place, with Wheat Ink from a Versa Magic Dew Drop.  The paper are scraps from some older 12x12 scrapbook paper I had in my stash.  I used the tiny holly leaves and berries from the Lil’ Inker Designs  Holly Jolly stamp and die set for a felt embellishment on the sentiment.

Next is Holly, the cutest little mouse for my son Sean.  He’s a super animal lover and sleeps with no less than a dozen stuffed friends every night, so I know he’ll love it.

The paper used on this card is all from the Recollections Jolly Holiday pad.  I used a couple of Martha Stewart punches for the holly leaves and branches and some Kaiser self adhesive pearls for berries.  The sentiment is a from a Whipper Snapper set and I had it laying on my desk, unused from a previous project, and it worked perfectly on this card.

Have a wonderful night!  If you have any assembly to do, I hope the kids fall asleep quickly!  Merry Christmas!
