Flourishes May pre-release challenge

home sweet home
Let your creativity shine by being inspired by something in your home - it could be the color scheme of a room, a painting, vase or floral arrangement - the sky is the limit on this Home Sweet Home Challenge! Please take a picture and show the inspiration piece in your post. Entries must be in by May 11th at 5PM EST in order to be in the running for the entire May Release!
So here’s my inspiration photo. This trio of vases in a chicken wire basket sits on the windowsill above my kitchen sink.  I am always sticking in sprigs of something or other to root or just a few flowers, like these calibrachoa (Proven Winner superbells) that broke off of a larger plant I bought recently.   The basil is beginning to show roots and will be planted outside soon.

So I was both inspired by the flowers as well as the colors.  I used several images from the April Showers set.

On Flourishes Classic White card stock I stamped the bucket of tulips first then covered it with a mask.  Then I stamped the boots and the trio of tulips so they are behind the bucket.   I colored all of the images with Copic markers then shaded around the image with Prismacolor pencils and oms.   I cut out the image and mat with Spellbinders dies Curved Rectangles.  I then sponged around the image with Distress Ink in Antique Linen with the die still in place.   All of the paper is from the Authentique Splendid paper pad.
The ribbon is faux suede ruffle and the flowers are from Prima, several layered together with a button and twine in the center.   The sentiment is layered on a Grommet Tags die cut and topped off with Kaiser adhesive pearls.   The trim along the bottom was created with a Martha Stewart border punch.
Visit the Flourishes blog for all of the details to enter the challenge.  Then make sure you check out all the inspiration our design team has in store for you below!
