Love and some Color Throwdown

Hello all and welcome to Flourishes April Release week! One thing you'll notice, right off the bat, is that this release will have a very feminine feel! It's that time of year when we start to think about honoring the moms in our lives and watching parts of the world turn to spring! So, without further ado, let's sneak peek our first set!

What's more beautiful than an antique cameo? This set illustrated by Lauren Pope showcases that feel. Stamp the silhouette in the center of this circle antique lace frame or use one of the six beautifully scripted sentiments inside. It's a timeless and classic image that can honor your mom or any new mom in your life! This set measures 4" by 6". This set is a perfect companion to our Antique Lace background stamp. It's another brand new stamp! See?

The design team really pulled out all the stops with this set and showcased it so beautifully!

In addition to the Flourishes sneak peek I am also incorporating this weeks Color Throwdown challenge.   Joan is our hostess this week and she picked a beautiful spring palette!

I began by stamping the lovely Antique Lace background image with white pigment ink on lavender card stock and embossed it with Detail White ep.   I did the same with the round lace image from the set which I trimmed closely to the lace.  I stamped the mother and baby silhouette image on white card stock with a VersaMagic Dew Drop in Spring Pansy and cut it out and layered on top of the lace circle. 

I used some patterned paper from the Basic Grey Kioshi pad matted with dark brown and wrapped with a faux suede ruffle ribbon and button with twine.  The sentiment was stamped on a tag I created with a Marvy punch.  I used a Martha Stewart hydrangea punch to create the flowers and set a Kaiser adhesive pearl in Champagne in the center of each.
