It’s a new release challenge today over at Flourishes. Our April pre-release challenge is called The Motherly Love Challenge and all you have to do is create a card for your mother or any mother in your life. Playing in the challenge puts you in the running to win the entire April Flourishes release! Head on over to the Flourishes blog for all of the details!
I chose this image from the Lenten Rose set and my sentiment from the Motherly Love sentiment set.
I stamped my image on Flourishes Classic White card stock and colored it with Copics. I shaded around the image with Prismacolor pencils and oms. I also sponged around the edges of the panel with a VersaMagic Dew Drop in Wheat. I used a Quickie Glue Pen and some prism glitter to the flower centers and I coated the glass vase with Crystal Effects.
The patterned paper is from the Basic Grey Porcelain 6x6 pad. I added a doily with some faux suede ruffle ribbon and a button with some twine.
Check out all the inspiration for this challenge from our team of talented ladies!

What a beautiful card!! My Grandma used to grow those Lenten Roses and she loved them sooo. You've really captured their sweetness.
Absolutely gorgeous Danielle!
A sweet card for Mom, I am sure she will cherish it. After Mom passed away we found that she had saved EVERY card Sis and I ever made or her. :)
Beautiful, Danielle! I love the soft colors you used.
Sweet, sweet colors! I love how you gravitate to these peach and coral tones. This is so feminine and beautiful, and such a lovely stamp set.
I see there were several of us who had to give these lenten roses so love! The pastel tones are lovely Danielle. Love the doily and button too.
Beautiful, soft colors Danielle and I love how you added the sentiment on the same panel as the image! Outstanding coloring, too!
very pretty, love the soft coloring
This is so beautiful, love the colors and your coloring. Thanks for commenting on my blog....BTW, you can still donate to locks of love even if you have some gray, if they cannot use it, they sell it and that helps with funds to make wigs, so you still help. once they remove that color, I'm not sure what the % of mine will be, lol.
