Spooky Friday Focus

It's a Flourishes Friday free for all. I used Witching you a Happy Halloween for my two cards here.

First I used the black cat image. I cut it and matted it using Spellbinder Labels Ten. I added Doodlebugs sugared brads to the top and bottom of the mat and some tiny brads on the corners of the sentiment. The large spider on the top right is a brad from Imaginisce. It’s really heavy and really cool! The paper is from the Eerie collection by Basic Grey.

I wasn’t really happy with this after I put it together. It’s unbalanced…I don’t know, it just doesn’t do it for me. Soooo, I created another one.

This one has a little story…

I created several cards like this last year and I just loved them. I was so pleased with the way this was coming together…the pumpkin, the paper, the white cardstock with simple scored border, the brads-uh, they were supposed to be brads. I had it all planned, but when it came to creating the spiders I just reached for my Kaiser gems and stuck ‘em on and drew legs…then realized what I did! So, we’re gonna call this one faux brads, shhh…

The paper again is Eerie from Basic Grey and I added some Martha Stewart glitter to the pumpkin using a Quickie Glue Pen.

Lets see what these other ladies have for us today!

There's nothing worse than putting something together and then being disappointed because you don't like it. I think it's lovely.. especially that spider at the top. Great pumpkin card also. The faux brads are fabulous!!

Okay, so I don't really do Halloween themes, BUT, I have to tell you, that first card is my favorite Halloween card (that I've seen) this season! What don't you like?! Crazy girl. I also love the clean and simple elements of the second card and how you "strung" your spiders from the embossed frame. So cute!
