It's a Flourishes Friday free for all. I used Witching you a Happy Halloween for my two cards here.
First I used the black cat image. I cut it and matted it using Spellbinder Labels Ten. I added Doodlebugs sugared brads to the top and bottom of the mat and some tiny brads on the corners of the sentiment. The large spider on the top right is a brad from Imaginisce. It’s really heavy and really cool! The paper is from the Eerie collection by Basic Grey.
I wasn’t really happy with this after I put it together. It’s unbalanced…I don’t know, it just doesn’t do it for me. Soooo, I created another one.
This one has a little story…
I created several cards like this last year and I just loved them. I was so pleased with the way this was coming together…the pumpkin, the paper, the white cardstock with simple scored border, the brads-uh, they were supposed to be brads. I had it all planned, but when it came to creating the spiders I just reached for my Kaiser gems and stuck ‘em on and drew legs…then realized what I did! So, we’re gonna call this one faux brads, shhh…
The paper again is Eerie from Basic Grey and I added some Martha Stewart glitter to the pumpkin using a Quickie Glue Pen.
Lets see what these other ladies have for us today!

There's nothing worse than putting something together and then being disappointed because you don't like it. I think it's lovely.. especially that spider at the top. Great pumpkin card also. The faux brads are fabulous!!

I'm not a Halloween person, but I love your big spider brad! And the faux brads are cool! I think the second card with the spiders turned out cute!!
I just LOVE your Halloween cards. I remeber last years spider cards. In fact I was going to case them for my cards this year. Hope you don't mind! TGIF and enjoy the coming weekend, hugs...
Awesome cards, D!
I love the first one! I think it came together perfectly! The purple brads are perfect for it. Your second one is awesome. Love your "faux" brads!!! What awesome cards! Best, Curt
Your little spidey's are so cute and creative Danielle! And those glittery brads are really fun too! Awesome!
Fun cards! Love your "faux" brads in the second card! LOL
Love your brads in the frame...great minds think alike LOL! And your spiders are way way too cute...I will definitely be casing that idea!
LOVE both of you creations Danielle!!! Those spooky spiders are just darling! ;-)
Love both of these but, yup, I love the second one better. I remember your Halloween cards with the spiders from last year. Such a great idea and so darn cute!
Heehee, if you didn't tell us, we would probably just think they were sparkly brads!!! VERY cute!
What FUN & CREATIVE artwork! Great job!
Both of these are great. The little spiders are genious! Very clever.
Okay, so I don't really do Halloween themes, BUT, I have to tell you, that first card is my favorite Halloween card (that I've seen) this season! What don't you like?! Crazy girl. I also love the clean and simple elements of the second card and how you "strung" your spiders from the embossed frame. So cute!
OMG GF...love how you used the new Halloween Set!!! These are two fab CAS designs!!! The embellishments are awesome too!!! Hugs ~S~
Adorable cards! You asked about a copic cubby that I had on my desk in one of my pics...here's the link to it: http://www.studio3solutions.com/main.sc
