Let the peeks begin!

Kids Play Graphic

The first August set from Flourishes we are showing today will bring out the kid in you! These lovely silhouettes have lots of possibilities!

This first card features this lovely girl blowing flowers and probably making a wish from the Kids Play stamp set! I used my oval Spellbinders Nestabilities to cut out the image then punched a long strip with a border punch from Martha Stewart and snipped and curved it to make a border. A tag and tiny gem holds the simple sentiment. Finished with a pretty gingham ribbon (looks like black is out of stock, but this one is on sale!) and bow on some Memory Box paper.

I just love the playfulness of this second image. Again, stamped simply in black on Flourishes white card stock. The base card is a scalloped rectangle panel I had picked up at my LSS a very long time ago. The floral dp is from the Kioshi line from Basic Grey. Just some simple Kaiser gems around the border finishes this fun card.

I was wondering how you did that pretty scalloped oval -- genius idea! Making a note... The paper has sort of a floaty look to it that goes just perfectly with the image. Love the scalloped card, too. The papers combined beautifully. It's always a good feeling to use something that's been in your stash for a long time.
