Flourishes Background Focus

Today the Flourishes Focus is backgrounds. Leslie has challenged us to focus on the background of a card or project.

DPK_FF_Aug27

I used the Damask background stamp with Memento ink in Red Brick. I stamped a sentiment from Life Lines and die cut it with Spellbinders Nestabilities and inked with the die in place also with Red Brick. I used a piece of the really pretty May Arts Two Tone Solid Peach-what a great match to both the ink and cardstock! I used SU cardstock in Pure Poppy for the scallop rectangle mat and base and a piece of black cardstock which I trimmed the edge with a scallop border punch. I added a Kaiser pearl to each scallop as well as in the center of each felt flower.

Make sure you take a look at the all of the wonderful creations the design team has today!
