Flourishes Friday Focus

Yeah! It’s Friday! The one day I almost enjoy going to work…ok, not really, but there’s a different mind set at work on Friday’s than any other day, and it’s a good one.

DPK_FF_Mar26

Today I am using the cherry image from Cherries and Peaches set from Flourishes. It’s stamped on Flourishes Classic Ivory card stock and colored with Copic markers. After coloring I painted over the cherries and leaves with Twinkling H2O’s in corresponding colors. It just adds a bit of depth and a tiny shimmer to the image. I also used a white gel pen to add highlights to the cherries. I chose to use just solid coordinating cardstock instead of patterned paper. I also pulled out a much neglected corner punch and made photo corners which I embellished with some flat backed pearls. The image a mat are cut out with circle and scallop circle Nestabilities and mounted over a piece of lace from my stash. It’s finished off with a simple button and “cherry” stamped below.

Make sure you check out all the fabulous creations from the rest of the design team! And have a happy Friday!!

very pretty. Love the cherries. The photo corners are a nice touch. I should use more corners, they add a nice element to the card.

You always do such an amazing job with whimsical images, but when it comes to images like this, you are an artist! Wow! This is stunning. I'm really glad that you didn't use patterned paper. I think that it would have taken away from your gorgeously colored focal point. Beautiful work! Best, Curt
