High Hopes Challenge #47

Happy Sunday! This week our High Hopes Challenge is "Lotsa Layers" brought to us by Any Wegener. I love layers, but I rarely do more than 3...maybe 4...so I did 6 today. I love the way some people really get creative with their coordinating paper layers but for some reason mine still always seem simple. Probably because my desk is a mess and I can't get too creative lately! Anyway, take a look at this weeks challenge!



This is an older High Hopes image that I have had for quite some time. I never used it before but as we enter fall and look forward to Thanksgiving I thought a Native American boy was quite appropriate! Stamped on water color paper with Versafine black ink and painted with re-inkers.

I tried my hand at water coloring again, and although I think it still needs work I was satisfied with what I had accomplished today. Okay, except for the ground. You know when you think it needs more, then the color isn't right, then you try to fix it, and then...well, you know where I'm going. I have what's called Repetitive Stress Injury (RSI) to my right hand and it makes it painful to type, use the computer mouse, and well, color! So painting has been a bit easier for me lately. I've been wearing a brace and taking an anti-inflammatory so I hope to heal soon.

The pattern paper (stripes and brown reverse side) is from Crate Paper. All other cardstock is SU. The button and twine are PTI and I used Nestabilites to cut out the image panel and scallopped mat.
