Monday morning blues...

Well I tried to get this post up yesterday but either Blogger/Google was down or it was my pc. I was able to access my email and Yahoo though, weird. Anyway this is a card I made for a baby shower that I attended yesterday.

The mom to be is Chinese and this is apparently the year of the cow so I on purpose (coincidentally) made a baby card with a cow on it! She might think it was on purpose so we'll go with that! This image and sentiment are from the Whipper Snapper set Bundle of Joy designed by Anna Wight. I was going to go with the sweet pea image but when I saw this adorable paper from a K & Company pad I bought recently I knew I had to use it! I love the colors, very non-traditional baby, but sweet and boyish...it's a boy by the way :) I LOVE K&Company papers!

The cows blanket originally had flowers on it along with the polka dots but after I inked up the rubber I used a baby wipe and removed the ink from the flowers and stamped it on the yellow pattern paper which is the flip side of the cow paper. I also stamped the moon and star (also from the set) on to the same yellow pattern and popped them up on the image. After I colored my cow with Copics I inked softly around the panels with Distress Ink in Brushed Cordouroy and then stitched them down. I used Stickles in various colors to accents the dots, lace, moon, and star. The brown cardstock and ribbon are Dark Chocolate from PTI and I used two SU! oval punches for the sentiment.

I really love how this came out-to toot my own horn so to speak! Well it was a glorious weekend here and Monday stinks so far-so typical these days! I hope everyone else enjoyed their weekends too. Have a great day!

This is so ADORABLE, I think the non-traditional colors are perfect. It would work for a girl too and be especially good for those showers when babies gender is not known. (Like that ever happens these days!)

Have a great week, HUGS

So Sorry to hear about that little cardinal. It was Wonderful that you found him and brought him in...I think you made his last moments very peaceful. Most people would certainly have been reluctant to bring him in...myself included..not now though...thanks to you!...Hugs, Ila
