Nichole Heady of Papertrey Ink is hosting several challenges on Capture the Moment to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of PTI. The first isn't a challenge as much as just an entry to win a year of new releases...how awesome is that? The second one is to alter, create, or decorate a bag. The third is a color challenge which I will work on tomorrow afternoon. In any case, I made this simple, rustic (i.e. really quick and poorly stamped) treat bag from a plain brown bag I pack my son's lunch in. By the time I get dinner done and clean up, bathe the kids and get them into bed...which requires chasing them back into their rooms at least 3 times, there isn't much time left for stamping. And since the deadline for entry is 3:00 am (and it's already was past my bedtime!) I didn't get too creative. I am so tired after a long work week so I am using that as my excuse for my less than stellar submission. All stamps are PTI from the Little Lady set, the flowers are Prima's and the ribbon is from Target. I used Stickles and Liquid Pearls to add accents.
Anyway, thanks goodness the winner will be selected by random drawing because if it was based on talent I would never ever let anyone see this. The flowers have kind of a strange placement too...but several of them are actually providing cover to smudges and smears. It's hard to stamp on a bag with creases and seams! Anyway, no comments please! I am embarrassed to have even posted this, but I'll be damned if I am gonna miss a chance to win $100 of PTI products!
