You Rock, even though you are now a plumber...

The Enabler shoved this new Inkadinkado set in my face even before I got to the aisle of clear stamps in the store. She said, "you have to get this, here!" and so I did. I did actually really liked it too...and now I love it! This card I made for my husbands birthday and it's not until November! It will be like the first time I didn't run into my craft room and make his card the night before his birthday!
It's a long story, but to get to the point, I met my husband in a bar. He played the bass in a rock band here on Long Island. I had gone to this bar to see the band with a guy friend of mine who called spontaneously. He was good friends with the drummer and since I was home alone in my apartment on a Saturday night eating Kraft macaroni and cheese out of the pot I cooked it in while sitting on the floor of my livingroom watching re-runs I figured I could find some time to join him for a while. I really didn't even like him the first time I met him. But the second time...I thought, who's that cute guy playing the bass? Wasn't hard to get to know him since I had an "in" with the band, lol. He quickly married me before I became a groupie and he left the band. Ah, good times. And so now it's history... Anyway, in his former life he played professionally in a band called Chet Arthur which was big in Texas. He has a CD and t-shirts and everything! Now he's a plumber. Yeah, kids will do that to you. To be fair, the band broke up years ago!
He still plays his bass and guitars when he gets a chance but it's usually in the backyard or sitting alone upstairs. I'm sure he misses the stage.
I stamped the guitar on Neenah Solar white with Versafine black. I stamped again and paper pieced it. You can see the dimension below. I colored it with both Coal and Angel Wings Shimmerz paints. I love how the guitar looks in real life but you don't really see it in the photo. I also painted over the entire skull and wings image with Angel Wings (ironic?) and popped it up. The background paper is Basic Grey Boxer and Bazzill solid. I love the cool images in this set. I think my hubby will really like this card. He's probably sick of getting the cards with tools on them by now anyway. But, he's also a hunter so I have another great card for tomorrow!

Don't forget to enter for blog candy on this post here!

OMGosh, I totally gotta get this stamp--my hubby plays the guitar too, and "thinks" he should be in a band, but hey-I don't wanna kill his little dream, hehe! Actually, he is quite good, but I just don't think Metellica is looking for a 36year old amatuers guitarist, ha!This card really does rock, you've done a masterful job pulling it together-it's FAB!!! Tell your hubby to rock on! :) hugs buddy!
