And one for my niece...

Here's the Valentine card I made for my niece. I found this dog stamp from Anitas Art Stamps in AC Moore, well really my enabling friend found it (she's a stamp pusher you know ;-) and was stating that she'd thought of buying it many times when we simultaneously exclaimed that it would look adorable coming out of a pocket! I had this pocket stamp from The Stamping Ground that I had only used once before and I knew it would be perfect. I stamped the pocket with Faded Jeans Distress Ink on blue Bazzill cardstock and cut out. I mounted it on the checked paper from Wild Aparagus and added the brads. Then I used my stamp positioner and stamped the dog as if it were coming out of the pocket. I stamped the dog image again on white cardstock and colored with Prismas and odorless mineral spirits, cut out and mounted over the stamped image on the pocket. I added a pink ribbon and then some flowers on the bottom that are stamped in blue ink and cut out and have prima flowers with brads on top and all attached to the bg. I kept this card simple too as I would be mailing them...so not too many layers or embellishments. I think this dog is adorable and have many more ideas for it!
