Not A Redhead!

Hard to believe, I know!  This new beauty from A Day For Daisies from the new Spring Beauties collection and needed a different look.  Although she may not be American Indian, the feathers in her hair is what inspired me to head in that direction.
This is my attempt at black hair.  It was not easy to color these flowing locks!  The more I went back to “fix” it, the more I didn’t like what I did.  I finally got it to where I was about satisfied and had to force myself not to touch it again, lol!   I used Copic markers to color the entire image, then used Prismacolor pencils to shade around it.  I added subtle sparkle with Shimmerz paints on the birds and feathers, and a Stardust Gelly Roll pens on the birds curly tails and heads.
The patterned paper is from My Minds Eye Beautiful Life and I added some Black Jute with a button and a couple of feathers.
Head on over to A Day For Daisies and check out these beautiful new images!
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the weekend!

She is beautiful. You did great with her hair. Hair is hard. Black nearly impossible for me!

I can't see coloring her hair any other color - I 'feel' it must be Native American Indian or similar, too. I enlarged your pic and it looks as beautiful as watercolor -- thanks so much!
