Masculine Birthday

Two cards I never seem to have on hand are sympathy cards and masculine cards.
I needed a birthday card for my brother in law and I remembered this tree die from Memory Box that a friend gave me and I thought it would be perfect for him.

I started with Flourishes Classic White card stock and used a Copic Multiliner to draw a frame around the edge.  I then used a sponge and chalk ink to add a subtle sky and and background, using a negative circle to add a sun.   I then die cut the tree using patterned paper from the Vintage Finds 123 Create Kit.    I tore a piece of scrap for the ground under the tree and added a button with some black jute.  I then stamped the sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black ink from the Inside & Out Happy stamp set from Flourishes.
I think I should make a few more of these to have on hand…I love that tree!   Thanks for stopping by and see you back here again on Friday with another Flourishes creation.  Have a great day!

Great guy card. Love the tree cut from DP instead of a solid color card stock. hugs...

OMGosh, this is awesome, Danielle! LOVE that tree, and how you grounded it with the torn paper. And the sentiment is perfectly places along with the framing around the whole card!

Cool card! You know, at first glance, I thought the tree was sparkly, but then I realized it was patterned paper. Very cool!
