Let the Peeks Begin!

Hi all and welcome to day one of Flourishes' sneak peeks for December! This release is full of floral fancy and today is no exception. When this set was just in the concept form, illustrator Marcella Hawley came to us with images from her own home. She not only loves to draw botanical images and dream about botanicals but she loves bringing them to life in her own garden. It's really quite incredible. She pitched this concept based on what she loves to do in the winter months, dream about spring! And so, we bring you.....

When winter hits, dreams of being in the garden begin with open sketch books, seed catalogs and garden journals - planning, plotting and envisioning sprouts and buds emerging from the soil. This set, illustrated by Marcella Hawley features three vivid vignettes honoring these garden dreams. Also features three beautifully scripted sentiments. Set measures 4" by 6". If you like what you see, you can pre-order this set right now by clicking HERE!
I love to browse all of the seed catalogs and begin planning my garden even while there is still snow on the ground.  It’s so hard to wait to get started!!
I began my card by stamping the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Flourishes Classic White Card Stock and coloring it with Copic markers.  I cut out the image with Classic Ovals  from Spellbinders and the mat behind it with the Perfectly Pierced Victorian Ovals.  I then used the Perfectly Pierced Classic Hour Glass for the sentiment.

The patterned paper is all from the MME On The Sunny Side.  I embellished it simply with a button from MME Breeze button pack and some kraft jute.

Danielle, What fun to see that zig zag print paper up to the nines in good look. Have been wondering what to do with a portion remaining in the 'idea box' aka scrap box! Thank you, bunches!
Overall design of this lovely card reminds me of a key...I looked twice to spy one peeking from under an embellishment! Well, that was my take on such a key to winter dreams of Garden Dreams papercrafting and graph paper soil plotting!! You've been there! making lovely greetings in bronzing dreams. Thanks for the lively perk to my mind's eye all over the garden covered with a fresh layer of white moisture desperately needed in these parts by farmer/ ranchers and gardeners. Keep Looking UP!
