Let the Peeks begin!

Hi all and welcome to day one of Flourishes’ Sneak Peeks for October!  We are starting early because we have FIVE new sets to unveil and want to make sure you see all of them in their full glory. Get ready for a fun and festive week ahead!  There is definitely something for everyone on tap this week.  Today, we honor the winter months ahead and take in some of the fun-filled things to do when the snow flies!

Introducing....

A whimsical way to enjoy the season in your cards and creations - ski, skate or take an old fashioned sled for a spin - you choose! This set, called Snow Day, illustrated by Marcella Hawley even offers five sentiments to match and a Nordic pattern to use for backgrounds, borders or accents! Set measures 4 by 6". Too fun for words!
I began by stamping the lovely skates on Flourishes Classic White card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I shaded them with Copic markers and added dimension to the pom poms with Marvy Liquid Applique and glittered while still wet.

I used Classic Ovals large and Lacey Ovals from Spellbinders to cut the image and mat.  I stamped the sentiment and used a (discontinued) Tag Trio die to cut it out.  I stamped it again and cut out the heart which I colored with Copics and glittered before adding it onto the tag.
The patterned paper is from the MME Christmas 6x6 pad.  I luscious piece of green velvet ribbon with a red button tied with kraft jute finishes it off.
