Two for One

Happy Friday!  Today I have two cards to share.  The first is for PageMaps by Becky Fleck and I used Wild for Watermelon from Flourishes.

Here is the sketch I was sent to use for June.   Great layout!

And here is my card.

DPK_CardMaps_May2012_wm

All of the patterned paper is from MME Home, a 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 pad.  I stamped the large watermelon image on Flourishes Classic White card stock and trimmed it close to the image after coloring and popped in up on it’s panel.   The seeds were stamped randomly after cutting the panel out with a Classic Squares Lg  die from Spellbinders, with the die still in place.  I then stamped several more seeds on scrap paper and cut them out and popped them up on the panel.  All of the seeds were given a bit of sparkle with a Stardust Gelly Roll pen and then coated with a Clear Gelly Roll.  Under the sentiment I used a Lacey Squares die.  The dragonfly charm is from Pink Paislee.  All images colored with Copic Markers.

Today the Flourishes Design Team is showcasing the set Strawberries and the stamp Basket Weave

DPK_FF_June1_2012_wm

I stamped the Basket Weave stamp on kraft paper and then rounded the bottom corners of the image to simulate a basket.  Then I stamped several strawberries on white card stock, masking a few to stamp more behind the originals.  I also stamped a few on a scrap and cutting them out and popping them up over the originals.   They were colored with Copic Markers.    I hand cut the banner the sentiment is stamped on and I used a piece of a gem flourish I had in my stash to add a little bling to it.  The butterfly charm is again from Pink Paislee, same collection as the dragonfly on the first card.  It’s hanging from a piece of May Arts Silk ribbon.   The patterned paper is Jubilee from Memory Box.

You can get Strawberries and Basket Weave both on sale at 10% off this weekend only!   Check it out here and here!

The design team has oodles of inspiration today so make sure you pay them each a visit!  And have a fantastic weekend!
