Wednesday’s Color Throwdown

swatch 155

Good morning! It’s time for another Color Throwdown and I am your hostess this week. I hope you like the colors I picked today….they were inspired by the Gertie paper collection by Stella and Rose which is all the pp you see on my creation.

I am using my new Millie Flower Power from Lili of the Valley.

DPK_CTD155

This cutie is stamped on Flourishes Classic White card stock and colored with Copics. I had wanted to use my sewing machine and stitch all the layers but for some reason I can’t get the needle to pick up the bobbin thread. I’ve threaded that machine a hundred times and I can’t figure out what in the world is wrong. I even pulled out the manual…then I gave up. So, I doodled lines around the yellow pp instead. I colored up a couple of naked Prima flowers yellow and added a brown button center to mimic the Black Eyed Susan Millie is holding.

Visit the Color Throwdown for some design team inspiration and to play along. These lovelies below have creations to see!

Geez, if I won the lottery I would buy every image from that company! This is adorable, and as usual you've colored the image beautifully!

I do love these colors and, of course, the darling Lili of the Valley image! The way you've placed your flower, it looks like it's growing from the leafy stem in the paper. Love that!
