Wednesday’s Color Throwdown

swatch 149
Hi everyone!  I’m your hostess this week and the colors I picked were inspired by the Salt Air collection by Cosmo Cricket.   I knew I had to use a an image that would coordinate with the paper and I pulled out an old, adorable image from All That Scraps which is a Sugarplums (Emma with a surfboard). Apparently these Emma and Trevor images are now retired and I couldn’t find this one on the website.  There are several in the Retiring Images category on All That Scraps if you want any…get them now!

Emma is stamped on Flourishes Classic White card stock and colored with Copics.  Her bathing cap and surfboard are both paper pieced and the flower on her hat I gave dimension to with Dimensional Pearls.  I used Ranger Inkssentials white pen for the flower centers on the surfboard.  I used an EK Success wave border punch on patterned paper and tied with a single ribbon.  The sentiment is from Underwater Sentiments by  AmyR Stamps.  I stamped it then cut the “birthday” portion off and popped them up with dimensional foam.
Several from our design team have wonderful samples to share this week, some even while they are on vacation!  Head on over to the Color Throwdown and get some inspiration to play along!
Check out these ladies below for their lovely contributions and for all the details.  And I hope you are enjoying the summer and getting some Salt Air yourself!

I love the look of your waves and all the cute paper piecing! I couldn't imagine where you got this color combo, but it looks great, especially on that CC patterned paper!
