Wednesdays Color Throwdown

Welcome to another fun Color Throwdown!  Check out this combo!

swatch 142

Broni is our hostess this week and she’s making us work it with these colors!  It was a challenge for me I must admit, but I think I succeeded.  I love green…and lime is one of my favorites!

I started with Flourishes stamp set Enjoy the Ride.

I kept my image monochromatic by stamping it in black on grey cardstock and highlighting it with a white gel pen, Inkssentials from  Ranger.  I also used both a Sakura Star Dust pen and a black Spica pen to add sparkle.  I inked all around the panel with a sponge and some white pigment ink and heat set.  I matted my image on a Fleur De Lis square Spellbinders die cut.  I love how the black adds sophistication and pop.  The perfect shade of green ribbon from my stash and some Kaiser self adhesive black gems in each corner round it out.

Sooooo…lets see what YOU can do with these funky colors!  Check out the Color Throwdown to see all the inspiration samples and then hit the blogs for all of the info!  Hope to see you at the challenge!
