Today is a super fun Color Throwdown! A great color combo and a great product together- Navy and White, a classic in itself, and a fabulous new die and stamp set from Lil’ Inker Designs called Pinwheels. Laura, the brilliant mind behind this, has a great tutorial on her blog showing how to put these beauties together here.
So I was feeling patriotic and chose red as my accent color. I had this great navy blue star double sided paper from Kaiser and the polka dot is the flip side of what I believe is paper from K&Company.
I love making these pinwheels! When you use double sided paper it’s like magic when you start to fold each curvy die cut and see both prints. Silly? It just excites me, what can I say :)
I used a lollipop stick which I cut down and curled the end of my sentiment strip around it. I used rustic twine on the center button and around the center of the card with more buttons. I tried to keep it masculine thinking I am going to give it to my husband.
Now Laura is sponsoring this weeks Color Throwdown and you have a chance to win this super set! Join us over at the Color Throwdown for all the details and to see the fun samples our design team has to share!
