Wednesday’s Color Throwdown

Welcome everyone to Color Throwdown #133.  This week our hostess Kristin chose this lovely palette for us!

swatch 133

That’s a whole lotta color to work with!   I lucked out and found all of them rolled into one patterned paper from the Kioshi collection by Basic Grey, which is my background paper.

DPK_CTD133

I used Genevieve from Kraftin Kimmie.  She is stamped with Memento Tuxedo black ink on Flourishes Classic White card stock.  The image was colored with Copic markers except for her dress which was paper pieced with a perfect plum patterned paper.   The shading around the image was done with Prismacolor pencils and oms and the panel was sponged on the edges with Versa Magic chalk ink in Wheat.

The sentiment was computer generated and stamped on a flag banner die cut from Lil’ Inker Designs

Now check out all of this weeks creations from our design team below-and please join us over at the Color Throwdown and show us your creations too!

Wow! Awesome use of these colors and a fabulous card! Super duper coloring. BTW, I read up on Rosie's breed. What a great dog she must be! Good temperment, and it's advised not to clip her coat. I like that! And she's so darn cute!

Too, too cute! Fab coloring, of course, and a rockin' design. (Um, what were they thinking, anyway?)

oh my goodness! I love how you made Genevieve come to life! She reminds me of the girl from the movie Up! Your colouring job is fantastic!!! You mentioned that her dress is paper pierced patterned paper - how did you do that? Love it!
