It’s a banner day!

Birthday Pennants Graphic

Flourishes last two sets for March are Strips and Stripes and Birthday Pennants. Not only do they coordinate with each other, but the coordinate with the new Spellbinders Banner Die set Nested Pennants and Nested Lacey Pennants.

DPK_SneakPeek_BirthdayPennants

I used patterned paper from the Curio collection by Basic Grey. I began by stamping the small banner with Tea Leaves Versa Magic chalk ink four time and die cutting them. I then die cut the lacey pennant to layer them on. I used a piece of bakers twine the string the pennants on and added a tiny bow at each end. I used part of a flourish in the top left corner (I think it’s from Prima…). The sentiment panel I created by first stamping Happy Birthday in black in on a scrap of the same background panel paper, then repeatedly stamping the other sentiments from the set with the Tea Leaves ink. I added a sequence of graduated sizes of self adhesive Kaiser pearls.

I hope you enjoyed all of the new sets for March. Check out the lovely samples from the designers below!

Maybe it's the colors you used...I don't know... but I sure do love this! It's a great idea the way you did the sentiment. Love the pearls and the layered pennants. Still pretty quick and easy, but it's got a lot of style!
