Today Flourishes is showcasing the first of their three new sets which is Hearts and Flowers. This beautiful stamp set was created by Marcela Hawley and contains three floral heart images and several sentiments. I have also combined today’s card with the Color Throwdown colors.
Broni selected this pretty color combo and we are using this weeks challenge to support a fellow stamper who has been diagnosed with a serious illness. You can view all of the details on the Color Throwdown blog, where you can link up your own challenge card and also participate in sending a card to Katie. I am offering a Flourishes stamp set Kids Play as one of the prizes being offered for those who help us support Katie. The winners will be drawn from the players on the Color Throwdown blog so please visit for all the details!
Now for my card!
These floral hearts are gorgeous! I stamped the daisy one on Flourishes Classic White card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copics. I added some fine Martha Stewart glitter to the centers with a Quickie Glue Pen and cut it out. I mounted it with dimensional adhesive higher in the middle than the sides so it has a concave curve. I used Spellbinders round and lace edge circle dies for the sentiment. I embossed the brown panel with Swiss Dots from Cuttlebug. The twill ribbon was tea dyed and a few buttons finish it off.
