Wednesday’s Color Throwdown

Today’s crazy color combo for the Color Throwdown is brought to us by Tammy, and I call it crazy because it’s crazy how I used these for a winter card! It was tough I tell ya!

I used these adorable images of children on snow saucers from Eat Cake Graphics called Ethan and Oliver Pup snowy saucer fun and Little Jeffrey in his saucer. They have wonderful fun and whimsical images-and you’ll be seeing a lot more from me over the next several months as I am part of the Design Team for the next four months! The images are all colored with Copics and cut out and popped up over some super sparkly glitter cardstock. I used Liquid Pearls and glitter to make a little snow track as they flew down the hill!

I found that all of these colors are found in the Basic Grey Marakesh paper. I chose a pattern from there and SU pp and cardstock for my layout. The sentiment is from the All That Scraps set Wintertime Fun. I punched some Martha Stewart snowflakes from the same glitter cards stock the kids are on and added a few buttons to keep it masculine. These boys don’t look like they do bows or ribbons!

Come on over to the Color Throwdown and check out all of the great creations this week including our November guest designer Lynn Put! Make sure you play along too-I can’t wait to see what everyone does with these colors!

And make sure to check out the Eat Cake Graphics DT blog A Sprinkling of Samples and Techniques! The samples are fabulous and these stamps are so much fun!!

Those little kids are freakin' ADORABLE, Danielle! And your coloring makes me so green with envy.... LOVE how you made the shadows behind them so they literally look like they're sliding down the front of the card! Too cute!

I swear you have some of the MOST clever layouts, girl! I can't get over the fact that you created a "hill" for your little tykes on their sleds! So creative...and your coloring is spectacular. Such a fun card, gf!!
