Color Throwdown Wednesday

Can you believe it's Wednesday again already? The closer it gets to the end of the year the faster the days go I swear!
It was really hard to come up with a combination for today’s Color Throwdown that didn't contain red, brown, or green! And I tried...really I did! I love these colors together though! So please join us and let us see what you can do with these colors.

You don't have to use the exact colors, but please do stay close. Then just pop on over to the Color Throwdown and add a direct link to your card using InLinkz at the end of the post.

I had such issues creating this. I liked the tree, I didn’t like the tree… I hated the saffron border and was I sure about the polka dots? Oh and the sentiments! You can see a discarded one on the bottom right, along with the rolled flower I considered. Yeah, like that goes with a Christmas tree. Ugh, just didn’t have the mojo. I will have to revisit these colors when I am feeling more creative! I think I am so preoccupied with cooking the turkey that it has sucked the creativity out of me, lol!

The tree was cut with a Papertrey Ink die and embossed with a cuttlebug swirl folder. The lace border was created with the Crochet die from MFT. The sentiment is from Stampendous and cut out with a Spellbinder die. I added some nail head adhesives in gold on the tree for ornaments and topped it with a punched country star I added glitter to.

I hope you are all ready for Thanksgiving-especially if you are cooking!

Have a very Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
