Hi everyone…I am very late posting Octobers Christmas challenge from Flourishes but better late than never! I was so inspired by the gorgeous samples the design team shared that I had to try my own.
For October the challenge is to use 1 stamp 2 ways. I have chosen to use the set Poinsettia and Boxwood. First I stamped the poinsettia twice on a piece of patterned paper from Daisy D’s…have no idea how long I’ve had that! I cut several center leaves from the second image and popped them up over the first image which I cut out completely. The center was created with Liquid Pearls and clear micro beads. I used a piece of gold cardstock for my mat which I added a simple border with my Scor-Pal. After I added the flower I embellished it with flat backed pearls.
For my second card I used the poinsettia as a background image. I stamped it several times with Versa Magic Red Magic on kraft cardstock. I outlined each flower with my Stardust pen and added yellow centers with a colored pencil. This gorgeous gingham ribbon creates a beautiful and rustic foundation for my simple sentiment.
Please use the Keyword FLLCNOEL6 if you upload to Splitcoast. You have until October 31th 5 pm EST to submit your cards and Flourishes will announce the winner with next month’s challenge! Check out the post here for all of the details!
See all of the gorgeous creations from our design team!
