It's Flourishes Sneak Peek Week!

April showers are bringing more than May flowers! They are bringing a whole new crop of Flourishes stamps for you to enjoy! It's day one of our sneaks and today, it's all about the men in our lives.

Introducing.....

Guiding Light Graphic copy

A guiding light, a steady ship, a bottle on the shore ~ all are focal points in this brand new set called A Guiding Light from Lauren Pope. This set offers four focal images along with seven sentiments perfect to honor the men in your life - husbands, dads, grandads and more!

Our second offering is called Antique Map and we couldn't love this beautiful background any more for those masculine cards. Use it on its own to create a background or have it as a perfect companion to our A Guiding Light set.

Visit Flourishes if you would like to win this set and background stamp and leave us a comment on this post and you might walk away with these two new beauties! The winners will be announced in the Winner's Circle on the Flourishes Blog this Saturday at 12 PM CST.

  • Our POWER HOUR Release Party is also being switched up a bit! Join us THURSDAY, MAY 13th at 9 PM Central Standard Time as we not only take off the lid on all of our sets, but showcase cards and projects you've never seen before! All the chat, games and giveaways will wrap in 60 minutes when all the stamp sets we've been sneak peeking go live in the Flourishes Store! You can join the party HERE in the SCS Flourishes Forum!

  • If you still want a chance to win all four of our new stamp sets, please click HERE to check out our Release Week Make It Manly Challenge!

Now here are my samples to share with you today...
After stamping the Antique Map on Flourishes cream card stock I crumpled it then opened it back up and rubbed some Distress Ink in Walnut Stain over the creases and then spritzed it with Glimmer Mist in Chestnut. Then I ironed it. I don't iron my clothes, but I iron my paper! The ship from Guiding Light is stamped on the same card stock and colored with Copics, then cut out and popped up on the map. After stamping the sentiment and punching with a circle it's mounted with a piece of this ribbon underneath.

Here I used the message in the bottle image from A Guiding Light. It's stamped on Flourishes cream card stock with the sentiment and colored with Prismacolor pencils and oms. I stamped the rope with white pigment ink on a piece of Basic Grey pp from the Marrakesh line and used another pp from the same line for a mat and to add to the right side. I used this linen ribbon again and finished it off with a simple button and twine embellishment. I also used Diamond Glaze on the bottle to for a little dimension and shine.

So, be sure to set sail and see what our fabulous design team created....

Love the message in the bottle. I think it's elegant even for a man. And add some soft pinks in the mix and it could easily be for a woman.

I just LOVE how you've used the bottle image and the overlayed ropes, such great colors. And the great antiqued design to the map and ship is wonderful too!

Wow! These cards are amazing! I love the ship against the map background. The colors on that card are just right, too. You know, the message in a bottle is probably my favorite stamp in this set, and I haven't even used it yet. Love what you did with it. The ribbon and button look great on your card.
