Flourishes Friday Focus

Today Stacy is getting us geared up to get a head start on Christmas cards!  You can see her post here! I don’t have any Christmas sets from Flourishes yet, but I did have these lovely images that fit the theme.

For this first card I used the amaryllis image from the set A Year   in Flowers 3.  I stamped the image it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Flourishes white card stock and colored it with Copics.  After cutting the image and mat out with Spellbinders Nestabilites I layered it on patterned paper from the Wassail line from Basic Grey.  I used some white silk ribbon which I colored with a Copic marker and a brad to make a bow.  I also added just a touch of Lemon Flower Soft in the center of the large flower.

This second card uses a wreath image from the Seasonal Wreath Stamp Set.  It’s colored with Copics on Flourishes white card stock. I used non-traditional colors and used another piece of paper from Wassail by Basic Grey.  I stamped the bow on a separate piece of paper and cut it out and popped it up on the bottom of the wreath.  I used the Blossom Nesties to cut the mat behind the image and I edged every panel with a gold Krylon pen.  I also used a piece of luxurious silk ribbon from Flourishes behind the image.  It’s a small card only measuring 4 1/4 inches square.

Holy guacamole, these are incredible. If I made cards like these for Christmas, I would never want to send them out....I'd just frame them and look at them all day. GORGEOUS!

Danielle, these are stunning!!!!! I love the flowers in the top card and the way they compliment the lines in the paper. I love the "fancy playfulness" in the second card. That wreath is awesome.
