Tall Card High Hopes Challenge

Good Sunday morning! This weeks High Hopes challenge is to make a tall card as requested by our Diva Amy.


I used Charity Winter Angel which I purchased a few years ago and never even inked up! Shame on me! She's so sweet, but I had organized my stamps and misplaced her and a few others and never used them, so I will be inking the others up shortly. She's stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Solar Crest White Ultra Smooth cardstock and colored with Copics. I flocked the trim on her hat and coat and it has a lovely rich and fluffy texture. I painted her wings with Shimmerz in Opal and then added Stickles in Icicle once it was dry. I used a red Spica glitter pen from Copic on the holly berries and for touches on the bird. It was just impossible to capture the sparkle in this picture but it's really nice!

In this picture at least you can see the flock. It's all layered on a piece of double sided paper from Cosmo Cricket. I used three buttons and a piece of PTI saddle stitch ribbon which i gathered into a ruffle for accents. The solid cardstock is Bazzill (or Stampin Up?). Now that they are making textured cardstock I am not sure, sorry.
