Oh, it was a crazy wedding!

The uniqueness of the wedding party and most of the guests was numerous. I never saw such an eclectic bunch of people all in one place. Well, ok, not since I was single and used to go to dance clubs...but seriously, I wish I had my camera! The groom was the son of one of my husbands co-workers so I didn't bring my camera because I wouldn't know anyone...but who knew I was gonna rub elbows with so many celebrity look alikes! Elton John and Elvis were there! Cyndi Lauper was there! I even saw Burl Ives! Then there were the celebs at our table like Michael Douglas, Teri Garr, and Diane Keaton...it was interesting to say the least! Good times...sigh. Anyhoo...here's the card I made the couple...

I stamped the Corinthians passage on Vintage Cream PTI cardstock with black ink and sponged the edges with various Distress Inks. The stamp I used I have had for a really long time and I am not sure of the maker. If anyone is interested let me know and I will get the info to you. I sprayed the panel with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Vanilla. I added three black gems from Kaiser and some hydrangea flowers from a Martha Stewart punch which have Kaiser pearls and some gold dust on the edges. I made the lattice card front with my Scor-Pal.

And another view to show the shimmer...

It's really very sparkly and pretty irl! The real gift was when my hubby called from work today to tell me his friend (father of the groom) said that both the bride and groomed gushed over my card-they couldn't believe that I made it and how gorgeous it was! Now THAT makes it all worth it...

Hope everyone has a great day!

What a classy, elegant card. I'm going to have to look into that glimmer mist. It really gives an impressive look! It really says a lot that a young couple like that would gush over anything let alone a card. Just proves how wonderfully talented you really are! Best, Curt

The wedding sounds hilarious, I've never seen a real impersonator but it must be really strange!
