It's Color Throwdown #55 and Simon Says Stamp!

This weeks Color Throwdown is being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. They are offering a prize this week so make sure you join us! The great color combo was chosen by our hostess with the mostess Tammy!

This owl from Simon Says Stamp was just begging for paper piecing! How funky and cute is he? I didn't have any of the new In Colors from Stampin Up so I used this beautiful pink Bo Bunny dot for the Melon Mambo and a lovely orange Prism for the image. The owl was pieced with paper from K&Co Berry Sweet. First I stamped the owl on the orange, then I stamped it several times on the pp to cut out different pieces. I also stamped the branch on a piece of wood grain paper from the DCWV The Green Stack. I used some Liquid Pearls in lemon yellow to make the large spots on the wing and a Ranger Inkssentials white pen for the tiny dots above and below.
The flowers from Hero have Doodlebug sugar coated brads for centers and it's all finished off with some saddle stitched ribbon.

Make sure you head over to the Color Throwdown to see all the wonderful samples and to play along with us! Simon Says Stamp is offering a prize which will be chosen randomly and you will also have a shot at being our Featured Stamper!

This is about as beautiful an owl card as I've ever seen, while still being fun and whimsical. You are such an inspiration, Danielle. I see your cards and I suddenly get the urge to stamp!

That's an awesome card! Can't wait for my sister to arrive so I can show this to her. She's been worrying because she can't think of a nice design for her daughter's party.
