Better late than never...

After last weeks fiasco I decided I wasn't going to let this week get by without a High Hopes challenge card. This week the challenge#32 is a pink and brown combo.

I have a lot of images that are geared towards boys...pirates and jungle, so I decided to go a bit unconventional and make my whale pink. After I colored her, well SHE is pink, with Copics I wasn't happy with the color so I went over it with Prisma's and OMS. Then to really perk her up I went over her with Shimmerz in Magenta. Her spout was painted with Shimmerz in Angel Wings. I also added spots of irridescent glitter. The back panel was embossed with a cb folder (try not to think of it as brown water as much as unique water...) and inked with Brushed Cordouroy Distress ink. The floral panel is, I think, Doodlebug pp. Could be Bo Bunny too...or none of the above. It was a scrap and I don't remember...

Finished off with a button and a flower from Michaels Bridal colored with a Copic. Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday and that your weather is as spectacular as ours is! Have a great evening!

Wow! What a beautifully creative and darling card! Love the pink and shimmery whale. Really love her set on the pretty browns. I probably never would have thought to do this, but I love it! I've been out visiting blogs this evening and I've seen some pretty inspiring things. It's cards like yours that really make me want to stamp something. Thanks a million!
